Lower Pottsgrove 4th Graders Learn Freedom's Value

Lower Pottsgrove fourth-graders were joined with their heroes

LOWER POTTSGROVE CLASS HONORS LOCAL HEROES – Area veterans who were the guests of teacher Jennifer Thompson’s fourth-grade class during a Nov. 9 (2012; Friday) Veterans Day observance at Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School received royal treatment from their admirers. The children sang a special song titled “Thank You, Soldiers,” created a special video, and wrote poems for the veterans. Those being honored, in turn, shared their real life experiences with the children. Thompson reported that one of her students later noted, “It’s important to celebrate Veterans Day to honor people who helped us get our freedom and keep it.”
