SANATOGA PA – The victim of a reported early Tuesday morning (Nov. 20, 2012) Sanatoga stabbing, to which Montgomery County dispatchers sent a Goodwill Ambulance for medical assistance, was a female resident of the nearby Rolling Hills apartment complex, Lower Pottsgrove Township police indicated.
Although police suspect she may have been involved in a domestic dispute, she declined to cooperate in their investigation and claimed she injured herself in a fall, they said. Her name was not released.
Chief Michael Foltz said the woman was known to police from previous domestic incidents at Rolling Hills, near the intersection of Buchert Road and Laurel Way. She suffered a laceration to her leg but refused both medical and law enforcement help, and was “uncooperative” in police attempts to investigate, he said.
She also denied she was assaulted, Foltz added.
Despite her unwillingness to file a complaint, Foltz said officers who responded were working with Rolling Hills management “to determine if there is any video surveillance to aid in (the) investigation.” No suspect was found on location when police arrived, he noted. He appealed for public help; if passers-by or others have any information on the incident, they are asked to call police at 610-326-1508.
Because police “have no reason to believe this was anything other than a domestic (dispute),” other area residents should not be concerned for their safety, Foltz said.
