Food Drive A Success At Lower Pottsgrove School

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN LOWER POTTSGROVE – In observance of National Make a Difference Day, the Community Service Club of Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School recently hosted a food drive to assist a local food pantry and families affected by Hurricane Sandy. Students at the Buchert Road school donated diapers, toiletry items, and canned foods. More than 1,500 items, shown above, were collected. The club consists of 19 3rd-, 4th-, and 5th-grade students organized at the Lower Pottsrove school by teachers Erika Giesy, Kristin Rambo and John Hazel. It sponsors a weekly service project to help provide cheer and support to the community.
