POTTSTOWN PA – Requests for proposals to conduct a feasibility study for a reconstruction of Pottsgrove High School on Kauffman Road, a project that could include not only much needed and well-documented repairs but also a lengthy wish list of space improvements and equipment upgrades, are expected to be issued this week by the Pottsgrove School District.

The search for a company to conduct a study and obtain bids for its possible cost was authorized last week (Dec. 4, 2012) by the Board of School Directors, after then Acting Superintndent Shellie Feola presented a detailed report on how the building might be refurbished and enhanced, and its expense financed.

Feola was promoted to superintendent Tuesday night (Dec. 11, 2012). In one of her first items of business as Pottsgrove’s no-longer-interim chief operating officer, she asked directors to set aside time during early February (2013) to meet with those competing to complete the study. By that time, Feola said, her administrative team will have what she hoped would be a long list of contenders “skinnied down” to three top choices for board review.

Feola added she anticipated directors might choose a winner to conduct they study later that month, and approve its payment.
