POTTSTOWN PA – Pennsylvania auditors have completed their review of Pottsgrove School District financial affairs for the 2011-2012 academic year, and are ready to wrap up with “an exit conference” for the district business office staff later this month, Business Administrator David Nester reported Tuesday (Jan. 8, 2013) to the Board of School Directors.
The state audit and review meetings occur annually.
Nester publicly offered no hint on what the auditors’ observations might be during a year in which Pottsgrove incurred additional redistricting expenses to transform its schools from grade-level buildings to educational centers. During several recent years, the district has closed its books with a revenue surplus.
Nester invited one or more directors to attend the review meeting; former board president Michael Neiffer indicated he may participate in the session tentatively scheduled for Jan. 23.
