SANATOGA PA – The Sanatoga franchise of The Goddard School, 2074 E. High St., will mark the 25th birthday of its corporate parent’s founding with a party at which local owner Ed Shaw says the company is giving gifts away rather than collecting them.
The event at the school, near the heart of the village, is scheduled for Feb. 9 (2013; Saturday) from 10-11:30 a.m. Members of the public, and particularly children, are welcome to visit, play a game or two, make their own ice cream sundae, and create a hand-made birthday card for current and future guests at Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia.
The birthday cards will be distributed throughout the year by the charity’s directors to pediatric patients or their family members who celebrate birthdays during their hospital stay or that of a loved one. For every card created in Sanatoga, Shaw said Monday (Jan. 14), Goddard Systems Inc. will donate $1 to Ronald McDonald House Charities, for a total of up to $25,000.
For more information, call the school at 610-970-3336.
