Lower Pottsgrove Township Police arrest Philadelphia Man

Even Laurel and Hardy knew the value of “shhhh!”

SANATOGA PA – It wasn’t the sound of silence, but the lack of it, that appears to have landed a Philadelphia man in trouble Monday (Jan. 14, 2013) with Lower Pottsgrove Township Police.

The department reported it arrested Ahmad Lateef, 23, of Philadelphia, on an active drug warrant outstanding in the city after they found him Monday at about 10:52 p.m. in Apt. 115 of the Rolling Hills complex, 2120 Buchert Rd.

Ofc. James McCue said police had been dispatched to the apartment following a call about a disturbance there. During his investigation of the incident, McCue discovered Lateef was wanted in Philadelphia. He was taken into custody and housed in the Pottstown Police Department lock-up, McCue said, until he could be picked up by Philadelphia police.

Although McCue didn’t comment on the aftermath, it’s assumed things quieted down later.
