POTTSTOWN PA – Two administrative appointments – only one of them previously announced – are among items on an agenda to be considered Tuesday night (Jan. 22, 2013) at 7:30 p.m. when the Pottsgrove Board of School Directors meets at the district office, 1301 Kauffman Rd. The meeting is open to the public.
Superintenent Shellie Feola and school board President Scott Fulmer confer during a December 212 meeting
Its agenda, made available late Monday morning (Jan. 21), indicates directors will vote on the proposed approval of Barbara Guy as interim principal at Ringing Rocks Elementary School to succeed former principal Michelle Bozzini. The district continues to decline explaining the circumstances of Bozzini’s departure. Board approval of Guy is anticipated; it was announced earlier she will start work at month’s end.
Directors also will be asked to make permanent the appointment of Dr. Leticia Rodriguez as district director of human resources, at an annual salary of $127,000. Rodriguez, who held the same position in the Spring-Ford Area School District, was brought in by Pottsgrove as a temporarily contracted consultant last October. The contract was for only 75 days; now Superintendent Shellie Feola intends to make the position full-time.
According to the agenda, the board consequently also must approve a new job description for Rodriguez’s position. It similarly will be asked to modify the job description for Director of Technology Michael Wagner, and deem him as the district’s new Director of Technology and Communications.
With the district’s 2013-2014 budget due within six months, board members also are scheduled to hear an initial budget presentation by Business Manager David Nester.
