Contractors Back Into Action At Bella Italia Restaurant

CONTRACTORS RESUME WORK AT BELLA ITALIA – Construction has resumed and is making continued progress at the long-delayed Bella Italia Restaurant (above and below, as it appeared Sunday, Jan. 27), being built just west of the former Rite Aid Pharmacy at 2209 E. High St., Sanatoga. The structure encountered problems last June (2012), and Lower Pottsgrove officials imposed a stop-work order. Now a new contractor has satisfactorily installed storm water management facilities, curbing and parking lot paving, and sanitary sewer and water utility connections there, according to township engineers Bursich Associates. Some masonry walls and framing have been placed. It’s also working to improve internal building column foundations and other structural items under the supervision of Codes Enforcement Officer Keith Place, the Board of Commissioners has been told. No opening date has been announced.
