Beauty Reigns Amid The Cold And Snow In Sanatoga

MOTHER NATURE AS THE ARTIST AT WORK – Last week’s bone-chilling temperatures and light but consistent snowfalls again brought out the artist in Mother Nature, as she crafted delicate ice images along Sprogel’s Run as it wound its way through Alfred B. Miles Park off Sunnybrook Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township. The water’s flow and subsequent freezes created a rippled, leaded glass-like pattern on a thin sheet of ice (above) that stretched from the run’s east shore out into the middle of its width. A small waterfall farther north upstream (below) provided a pleasant burbling backdrop of sound to the otherwise quiet scene.
