Lower Pottsgrove Police Charge Three With Retail TheftsSANATOGA PA – Three separate and unrelated incidents of alleged retail theft which occurred between Jan. 31 (2013; Thursday) and Sunday (Feb. 3) at Redner’s Warehouse Market, 1300 N. Charlotte St., have been reported by Lower Pottsgrove police. Arrested were:

  • Michael A. Nolan, 19, of Pottstown. He was charged Jan. 31 at 6:10 p.m. with allegedly concealing unspecified merchandise for sale and attempting to remove it from the store, according to Ofc. Daniel Kienle. Nolan was detained by the store’s loss prevention personnel; Kienle reported it was Nolan’s first arrest for retail theft.
  • Lauren Ashley Carter, 22, of Pottstown. Loss prevention personnel told Ofc. Scott Weidenhammer they observed Carter Saturday allegedly concealing several items inside a large purse. They recovered lunch meats and cheeses valued at about $30. She was cited for retail theft.
  • Beatrice Calabretta, 55, of Pottstown. On Sunday at 3:07 p.m., loss prevention personnel reported to Ofc. Matthew Musselman that they witnessed Calabretta allegedly eat a piece of chicken and place its package in her pocketbook, then pay for other items at checkout without paying for the chicken. They stopped her in the store’s lobby as she was buying Girl Scout cookies. She was cited for retail theft and trespassing.
