NORRISTOWN PA – A Code Blue cold weather emergency alert was issued for the period between Saturday (today, March 2, 2013) at 6 p.m. and Monday (March 4) at midnight by the county Department of Public Safety in anticipation of exceedingly cold temperatures ahead.
The alert puts county residents on notice to bundle up and wear appropriately warm clothing. It also authorizes local social service agencies to assist the homeless and others in need to find warm and safe shelter for the period.
