POTTSTOWN PA – Students at Owen J. Roberts High School are attempting to repeat their victory last year as grand prize winner in “The Great Food Fight” sponsored by Philabundance, the non-profit organization that distributes food items to pantries for the needy across several counties, including the outreach center of the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities.
Philadelphia’s KYW Newsradio reported the school during 2012 collected several tons of food to win the $10,000 prize. It’s hoping to do better this year. The contest continues through Friday (March 8, 2013).
