Commissioners Strike Up An Award For The Band

ADDING ANOTHER HAPPY SOUNDTRACK TO THEIR LIVES – Pottsgrove High School Marching Band Director Victor Holladay, above at center left, receives a handshake Monday (March 4, 2013) from state Rep. Mark Painter, center right, as Painter and the Lower Pottsgrove Board of Commissioners congratulated the band on winning its second state championship late last year. Painter presented copies of a celebratory resolution passed by the House of Representatives; commissioners, headed by President Jonathan Spadt, far right, gave the band a commemorative award. Not all members could attend – many were involved in other extracurricular activities – but those who did joined with board members, below, to express their thanks.
