HARRISBURG PA – Albert “Al” Boscov, the man who grew his father’s Reading PA retail company into a chain of 41 stores that spans five states – including one at Coventry Mall in Pottstown – will be inducted Thursday (March 7, 2013) as the first member of the Pennsylvania Retailers Association Hall of Fame, its CEO Brian Rider told The (Pottstown) Mercury.
The decision to induct Boscov was made last fall by the Harrisburg-based organization’s board of directors. Boscov’s employs 7,000 and the company has annual revenues of $1 billion, The Mercury reported.
