Wells Fargo Plans To Lend More To Women-Owned Firms

POTTSTOWN PA – Wells Fargo Bank – which operates branch offices locally in Pottstown, Limerick, Boyertown, Collegeville and Phoenixville – thinks a substantial portion of future business will come from women.

Bank representatives on Friday (March 8, 2013) said it planned to lend a total of $55 billion to women-owned businesses by 2020. During the past 18 years it has already lent more than $38 billion to women business owners, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported. “Women-owned businesses are among America’s fastest growing segments,” said Lisa Stevens, Wells Fargo’s lead executive for small business.
