SANATOGA PA – Area residents interested in learning more about qualifying for state property tax rebates and the homestead exemption, or who need help to complete forms for those and other programs, can attend informational sessions sponsored by state Rep. Mark Painter on April 4 (2013; Thursday) from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at his 600 Heritage Dr. office. The activity-filled day is free and open to the public
Painter represents the 146th Legislative District, which includes Lower Pottsgrove and Limerick townships, and the boroughs of Pottstown and Royersford. His office is located just off High Street in Sunnybrook Village, next to Parma Pizza.
Members of Painter’s staff, local real estate professionals and others will be available to talk about property and other local taxes, local housing options, rebates and the exemption, and property assessment appeals, he said. Painter himself will talk for about 30 minutes each at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on tax relief legislation, including a bill to eliminate the per capita tax. Refreshments will be served.
Advance reservations are appreciated. To make an appointment for assistance, or to attend the 2 p.m. or 6 p.m. talks, call Kim Trotman at 610-326-9563.
