POTTSTOWN PA – Wednesday (March 20, 2013) officially marks the First Day of Spring, that magical season when colorful flowers bloom brightly, the sun shines more warmly, and a young couple’s fanciful thoughts turn to love and romance.
Just not in the halls of Pottsgrove High School. Please.
Hey, teens are teens and hormones are hormones, but Pottsgrove Assistant Principal Jeffrey Madden found it necessary this week to point out to students that there’s an appropriate time and place for everything. And for those of high school age, certain things are wholly inappropriate.
Which is why, beginning Monday (March 18) and continuing through Wednesday, Madden has added this memo to the list of daily morning announcements at the high school, 1345 Kauffman Rd.: “Displays of affection in the hallways have become too common. Anyone who is kissing in the hallways will receive a detention.”
They can’t say they weren’t warned.
