Dangerous Delivery: Gun Robbery Tuesday In Sanatoga

SANATOGA PA – Police in Lower Pottsgrove are appealing for public help in providing information on an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday (March 19, 2013) just before midnight at 1401 Walnut Ridge Estates. No one was reported injured in the incident, but one of the two robbers brandished a black-and-silver handgun, Ofc. David Slothower reported.

Dangerous Delivery: Gun Robbery Tuesday In SanatogaSome specifics of the robbery have yet to be provided, but Slothower said a pizza delivery person whom the report did not identify was its victim, apparently while making or returning from a call at 11:54 p.m. It is unclear whether the delivery was to the home itself, or if it occurred outside while the victim was walking or driving.

Two thin black males – both clean-shaven, wearing black hooded sweatshirts, and estimated to be between 15 and 20 years old – held up the delivery person at gunpoint and took a undisclosed amount of cash, a cell phone, and a GPS unit. They then fled the area on foot, Slothower added.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the police department at 610-326-1508, or its anonymous tip line at 610-323-1130.
