PUTTING THEMSELVES INTO PLANNING MODE – A group of 28 volunteers representing community, business, family and educational interests in the Pottsgrove School District officially gathered for the first time Tuesday (March 26, 2013) to begin work on the district’s next three-year comprehensive plan. The state-demanded document requires Pottsgrove to look at its schools, students, instructional methods and support systems with an eye toward improvement. Superintendent Shellie Feola, standing at center, introduced the concept to the group, which is being guided by an outside adviser. Feola, who reported briefly on the committee Tuesday during the Board of School Directors’ meeting, said other sessions were planned in coming weeks.
