POTTSTOWN PA – A late Friday night (March 29, 2013) party in a Lower Pottsgrove residence that allegedly involved alcohol and under-age drinkers turned out to be no party at all for 14 teens who were issued citations by township police, and its alleged host, who was arrested for related offenses.
Derek Sein-Lewin, 19, of 1626 Potter Dr., who Ofc. Matthew Meitzler said hosted the affair at his home, faces charges on two counts of corruption of minors, 14 counts of furnishing liquor or alcohol to minors, and one count of possession or consumption of alcohol by an individual under the age of 21.
Lower Pottsgrove patrols were dispatched at about 11 p.m. to the Potter Drive address for what was reported as “a suspected underage drinking party,” Meitzler wrote. When officers arrived, he said, they approached the front door and saw several individuals who appeared to be younger than 21 inside the home, as well as alcoholic beverages there.
As officers came in the front, Meitzler added, several individuals attempted to flee out the back. They were stopped, identified as being younger than 21, and also were “determined to be under the influence of alcohol.”
Twelve individuals age 18 or older were issued were citations for under-age possession or consumption of alcohol. They were Jacob Gribb, 19, and Kari Yaculak, 18, both of Pottstown; Alexis Versak, 19, of Limerick; Delaney Bowes, 18, and Laura Field, 18, both of Royersford; Ann Kolcun, 19, of Collegeville; Michael Mansur, 18, of Gilbertsville; Julie Tadros, 18, of Phoenixville; Amanda Weiler, 18, Meagan Weiler, 18, and Thomas Fazzini, 18, all of Eagleville; and Francesca Gates, 19, of Norristown.
Two other individuals, determined to be younger than 18, also were issued citations for under-age possession or consumption. Their names are being withheld because they are classified as juveniles.
