Trout's Up! Kids Bait Hooks Saturday in Sanatoga

Trout's Up! Kids Bait Hooks Saturday in SanatogaDOWN BY THE OLE FISHIN’ HOLE – That’s where plenty of children were lined up Saturday (April 27, 2013): along the banks of Sprogel’s Run, on the east side of the Sunnybrook Ballroom property on Sunnybrook Road, as the Lower Pottsgrove Police Officers Association conducted its fourth annual trout rodeo. Ofc. Rob Diesinger (in red hat and waders at top), who was instrumental in launching the event, was again its coordinator this year. He and other members of the department staff were on hand (above) to help the young fishers reel in their catches. The limit was five, and some anglers reached it in no time at all. The run is lengthy, but for sporting purposes the fish supplied by the Stony Creek Anglers Association in Norristown were confined to only a portion of the creek. First-place overall winner for largest fish was Ava Hartzell, left.
