Commercial Sign Replacements On Zoning Board Agenda

Commercial Sign Replacements On Zoning AgendaPOTTSTOWN PA – Commercial sign repairs and replacements are on the agenda of the Lower Pottsgrove Township Zoning Hearing Board when it meets Aug. 20 (2013; Tuesday) at 6 p.m. in the municipal building, 2199 Buchert Rd.

Board members are scheduled to consider a request by 1400 N. Charlotte Rd. LLC of Philadelphia to renovate the existing pylon sign for the strip shopping center at North Charlotte Street and School Lane that contains the Planet Fitness gymnasium and several vacant store fronts. The current sign is legal but does not conform with township codes. The board must agree to allow its repair and renewal.

It also will consider replacement of an existing sign at 2879 E. High St., Sanatoga, the offices of Thrivent Financial For Lutherans, on a property owned by John A. and Barbara J. Ungerman. An existing, non-conforming sign is already in place there; the owners want to replace it with one that measures 32 square feet in size and stands 6-feet, 6-inches high.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Its proposed schedule was published Monday (Aug. 5) in a legal advertisement.
