Democratic Policy Committee Hearing Set In Pottstown

POTTSTOWN PA – A public hearing on “education funding cuts and their impact on property taxes” will be held by members of the Democratic Policy Committee of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, including local Rep. Mark Painter, on Monday (Sept. 9, 2013) beginning at 2 p.m. in the South Hall community room of Montgomery County Community College, 101 College Dr.

In announcing the hearing, which is open to the public, Painter said the committee would speak with “school board members, superintendents, education advocates” and representatives of the AARP. They were not identified by name.

Painter, who represents Lower Pottsgrove, Pottstown and Limerick in the House, said he and other legislators would participate.
