SANATOGA PA – The annual toil and trouble of creating a township budget in Lower Pottsgrove began earlier this summer, as staff members amassed information they’d need to assemble credible figures for 2014. Now the higher-ups, and the public, get an initial glimpse behind the numbers.
The Board of Commissioners’ budget committee – the tag team of Commissioners James Kaiser and Michael McGroarty – will hold its first of three budget working sessions Thursday (Sept. 26, 2013) at 4 p.m. in the conference room of the municipal building, 2199 Buchert Rd. The late afternoon start gives them time to work, clean up the piles of papers, and prepare for the board’s regular meeting later that night, at 7.
Other budget meeting days have been announced as Oct. 3 (the following Thursday) and Oct. 31, both also at 4 p.m. in the municipal building.
The budget usually is presented in preliminary form during November, and finalized in December.
