Pottsgrove High Bonfire Lighted Smiles And School Spirit

POTTSTOWN PA – Mid-week Homecoming activities at Pottsgrove High School continued Thursday night (Oct. 17, 2013) with its annual bonfire lighting at 6:30 p.m. in the south parking lot off Kauffman Road. Despite the threat of rain hundreds of students, parents, teachers and visitors turned out to enjoy the evening camaraderie, food from a variety of vendors and school clubs, dancing to music, and for some even a pie or two in the face.

The homecoming schedule continues today (Friday, Oct. 18) with a 1 p.m. pep rally in the stadium on School Lane; crowning of the Homecoming Queen and her Court at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium; and the Pottsgrove Falcons varsity football team game against Phoenixville at 7 p.m., also in the stadium.

The week ends Saturday (Oct. 19) with the Damon Carter Memorial 5K Run and Walk at 9 a.m. in the stadium; presentation of the Alumni Honor Roll at noon in The Copperfield Inn at Lakeside, West Ridge Pike, Limerick; and the Homecoming Dance set for 7:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
