SANATOGA PA – Police in Lower Pottsgrove and Limerick townships teamed up to stop a fleeing 27-year-old Limerick man who faced multiple charges following his alleged fight with an adult woman, according to a report distributed Thursday (Nov. 28, 2013). Officers said she endured several injuries, including human bite marks on her back.

Bite Marks Reported As Injuries In Township CaseA preliminary hearing in the matter has been scheduled for Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. in the Sanatoga courtroom of Magisterial District Justice Edward C. Kropp Sr.

The incident occurred Nov. 22, according to Lower Pottsgrove Sgt. Robert Greenwood. Department officers responded to a 5:48 p.m. call regarding a “domestic violence assault that had just taken place” at the Rolling Hills apartment complex on Buchert Road in Sanatoga. A suspect in the case, Chimaobim C. Onukegbe, “had fled the scene,” Greenwood reported, and a description of his car was broadcast to surrounding police departments.

The female victim was not identified. The bite marks were among her “visible injuries,” police said. A 3-year-old child, whose name and gender were not part of the report, also was struck by Onukegbe during the altercation, police alleged.

Limerick police reportedly spotted and followed Onukegbe in the described car, and stopped him near the intersection of Limerick Center Road and Ridge Pike. They held him there until turning him over to Lower Pottsgrove.

Onukegbe was arrested on two counts each of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned Nov. 23 by an on-call judge, with unsecured bail set at $10,000 under condition that he have no contact with either of the victims.
