SANATOGA PA – A driver who allegedly sped through the 40 mph construction zone on U.S. Route 422 near its Armand Hammer Boulevard interchange was charged last week with more than just a traffic violation, according to Lower Pottsgrove Township police.
Ofc. Scott Weidenhammer said John Thomas Ganzelli, 27, of Pottstown, was cited Friday (Dec. 27, 2013) with speeding and operating with a suspended license, and also was arrested on a drug-related charge.
Ganzelli was driving his Honda Accord westbound on 422 at about 11 p.m. when Weidenhammer pulled him over, according to the officer’s report. It was during the course of the stop that the officer learned Ganzelli’s license had been suspended, he said. He subsequently also was “found to be in possession of a needle and other drug paraphernalia,” the report stated, and was “processed for possession of drug paraphernalia.”
