POTTSTOWN PA – In a new 3-minute video hosted at YouTube, employees of the locally operated Diamond Credit Union explain why they are avid supporters of the United Way of Berks County, and the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, company representatives said Thursday (Jan. 9, 2014).
Diamond, which is headquartered on Medical Drive in Lower Pottsgrove Township, created the video to commemorate the 13th consecutive year in which each of its employees participated in the United Way’s annual pledge drive. Both charitable organizations provide financial and other assistance to non-profit groups in Berks, Montgomery and Chester counties.
For 2014 all 130 employees raised a total of $22,544 in donations, representing an increase of more than $2,000 over last year, the company said. That amount will be combined with Diamond’s corporate donation for a total of more than $30,000, it added.
Diamond is the 18th largest credit union in Pennsylvania, with more than $400 million in assets and 45,000 members. It operates branch offices in the Pottstown and Reading areas
