SANATOGA PA – The results of laboratory blood tests taken after a late December single-vehicle accident in Sanatoga have been returned, and prompted Lower Pottsgrove police to file charges against the driver involved, according to department Ofc. Matthew Meitzler.
A summons from the Sanatoga courtroom of Magisterial District Justice Edward C. Kropp Sr. is expected to be mailed Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2014) containing charges against Mary Frame, 48, of Limerick PA, police said. She is being cited for driving under the influence of a controlled substance and careless driving.
Meitzler reported Frame was the driver Dec. 22 (2013) at 8:53 a.m. of a Dodge Ram van that struck a home at 2384 E. High St., “completely” destroying its porch and porch roof. The officer’s investigation showed Frame’s van initially left East High, struck a utility pole, re-entered the street, then left it a second time and plowed through shrubbery at the front of the home to the porch.
Meitzler said he later observed Frame with “very lethargic” movements and speech. She told him she had taken prescription medication earlier, he said.
Tests to analyze Frame’s blood were returned last week and indicate that, at the time, she was under the influence of Oxycodone, a controlled substance, police allege.
