Township Police Allege Theft Was On Pair’s Menu

SANATOGA PA – Two Lower Pottsgrove residents who allegedly ordered but didn’t pay for take-out later were taken in by township police, according to a press release.

Township Police Allege Theft Was On Their MenuOfc. James McCue reported he arrested both Eric Green, an 18-year-old male, and an accompanying 15-year-old juvenile who was not identified because of his or her young age, Saturday (Jan. 25, 2014) shortly after 8 p.m. The pair was charged with theft and related offenses, McCue said.

The officer said he received and responded “to a call for a suspicious condition at 3104 Walnut Ridge Estates.” Upon his arrival, McCue found a Chinese restaurant delivery driver had phoned for help. Following an investigation, McCue alleged Green and the juvenile “ordered … Chinese food with the intention of stealing” it.

They were taken into custody, and an appropriate court will handle the juvenile’s case at a later date, McCue said.
