SANATOGA PA – A Pottstown man and a Royersford woman were separately charged following two different incidents that were reported to have occurred Sunday (Jan. 26, 2014) at Redner’s Warehouse Market, 1300 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, according to Lower Pottsgrove police officers.
Individually facing counts of retail theft are John Kelly Deboer, 51, of the 700 block of Worth Blvd., Pottstown; and Joyce Kuhn, 34, whose specific address in Royersford was not provided in a police report.
In the incident involving Deboer, Ofc. David Slothower said he responded to a 1:15 p.m. call from Redner’s loss prevention personnel, who alleged they had observed Deboer conceal two items with a total value of $6.34 in his jacket. He had been stopped after he paid for other items at a cash register but not those that had been hidden, Slothower reported. Deboer was charged with summary retail theft, the officer added.
In the incident involving Kuhn, Ofc. Matthew Kemp said he responded to a 3:35 p.m. call from Redner’s. His investigation revealed Kuhn had stolen merchandise from the store, Kemp alleged. She was charged with what he said were “retail theft and related offenses.”
Future court appearances were not reported in either case.
