SANATOGA PA – A “property and local tax education day” conducted for the second consecutive year by Lower Pottsgrove state Rep. Mark Painter will be held March 3 (2014, Monday) with a series of events n Royersford and Sanatoga.
The sessions offer area residents an opportunity to see if they qualify for state property tax rebates and the homestead exemption, and also to get help completing forms for those programs. Painter staff members also will help determine if a local property is potentially over-assessed, and provide instructions on the appeal process.
Painter will talk about tax relief legislation, including a proposal to help seniors defer property taxes.
Four different sessions will be held, starting with a free breakfast at 8:30 a.m. in Annamarie’s Place Restaurant, 347 Main St., Royersford; and followed by 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. meetings in Painter’s office, 600 Heritage Drive, Suite 102, just off High Street in Sanatoga’s Sunnybrook Village. They will be accompanied by free sandwiches.
