Pair Parked In Township Arrested On Drug ChargesSANATOGA PA – Lower Pottsgrove police said they arrested two East Coventry Township residents Monday (Feb. 24, 2014) on a variety of drug-related charges after they allegedly were found to have controlled substances and drug paraphernalia in their vehicle, which was parked in the lot of a closed business on the south side of the township.

Taken into custody were Kathleen Matta, 41, and Troy Stitt, 22, who were discovered in the car at about 2:03 p.m. in the 1400 block of Industrial Highway. Ofc. Matthew Meitzler reported he observed drug paraphernalia in the car, and during the course of the arrest also found 10 bags of heroin in Stitt’s possession.

After obtaining a search warrant, police also said they recovered additional empty heroin packages, syringes, and two controlled substances, Suboxone and Buprenorphrine, also known as Subutex.

Both individuals were charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of possession or drug paraphernalia, and six counts of criminal conspiracy. They were arraigned by Magisterial District Justice Maurice H. Saylor, and transported to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Eagleville PA in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
