POTTSTOWN PA – “Mom Prom PA,” a women’s only night out to benefit the Pottstown and Lehigh Valley chapters of the International Cesarean Awareness Network, is being planned for April 11 (2014; Friday) from 7-10 p.m. at Brookside Country Club, 850 North Adams St. Organizers call it a “wonderful, hilarious night” that gives women an opportunity to dance, have fun with friends, and help a worthy cause.
Any women age 21 and older, whether they’re mothers or not, are encouraged to attend and wear “their old prom dress, bridesmaid dresses and wedding gowns,” or use the event “as an excuse to buy a new dress.” Mom Prom has a history, too; the first was held during 2006 in Canton MI, and the event has spread across the country since.
Advance sale tickets cost $45 through March 30, and are available here. Tickets purchased April 1-10 cost $50; and $55 at the door. Admission includes hors d’ouevres, a pasta dinner, dessert, dancing, a silent auction, and a cash bar with the first drink pre-paid. Organizers also will award prizes in a “Tackiest Dress” contest.
