It Was Pretty While It Lasted, But Nature's Fickle

WHAT MOTHER NATURE GIVES, MAYBE SHE TAKES AWAY – Last week’s daytime high temperatures climbed from the mid-30s to the mid-60s during a period of several days, increasing the melt of whatever snow remained locally. The resulting high water volume spilled Wednesday (March 19, 2014) as eye-catching falls across the Pruss Hill Pond dam on the north side of Pruss Hill Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township. Mother Nature’s fickle temperment could reverse the trend on us early next week, forecasters say, by sending temperatures plummeting again and potentially re-freezing the falls … for a short time, at least.
