College, Non-Profit Agency Co-Host Substance Abuse Talk

College, Non-Profit Agency Co-Host Substance Abuse TalkBLUE BELL PA – Montgomery County Community College and Aldersgate, a private non-profit social services agency based in Willow Grove PA, will co-host a discussion on issues surrounding drug and alcohol abuse next Wednesday (April 16, 2014) from 12:20-1:30 p.m. in Room 147 of College Hall on MCCC’s main campus, 340 DeKalb Pike. The program is free and open to the public.

It also will be simulcast on the same date and time in Room 213 of South Hall on the college’s west campus, 101 College Dr., Pottstown PA.

The substance abuse discussion will include how to identify a drug or alcohol problem, where to get free and confidential help, how to handle peer pressure, the effect of alcohol and drugs on the brain, and current Pennsylvania laws that pertain to underage drinking and driving under the influence.
