Hundreds Of Township Park Egg Hunters Go Searching
SANATOGA PA – The sun was bright, the temperature warm, and the parking lot jam-packed Saturday morning between 9 and 10:30 as hundreds of parents and their children arrived at Gerald Richards Park, 2130 Buchert Rd., for the annual Easter egg hunt and sack races sponsored by the Lower Pottsgrove Township Parks and Recreation Department.
The Easter Bunny made an appearance and posed for cell phone photos. Several kids recovered shiny plastic eggs with prize coupons inside, redeemable for a chocolate bunny. The only hitch was parking for cars; Richards Park also was the simultaneous scene for several Pottsgrove Soccer Association games, and today was its planned “picture day” event for teams and individual players.
