SANATOGA PA – Lower Pottsgrove police are warning area residents to ensure their house doors and windows are locked, and to contact them if they see any suspicious activity, after a Pebble Beach Lane home owner reported an attempted burglary Thursday afternoon (April 10, 2014) at about 1:42 p.m.
Police responded to the burglary-in-progress call at 35 Pebble Beach Lane but found the property to be unoccupied and secure following a check of the home. During their investigation, township Det. Dan Kienle reported, police determined several bottles of water and juice packets had been removed from the home’s garage.
In talking with those at the scene, according to Kienle, police learned the home owner’s juvenile son had been followed home by a bearded, black male described as wearing a dark-green hooded sweatshirt and jeans. The son entered the home through its open garage door, and the male apparently followed into the garage as the son went inside.
When the son heard someone in the garage, he notified the home owner. Both fled the building, and the home owner called police.
Anyone with information related to the burglary is asked to call Kienle at 610-326-1508.
