LIMERICK PA – A canned and non-perishable food drive to benefit Philabundance will be a featured activity this month at the Limerick, Schwenksville and Fairview village branch offices of Ambler Savings Bank, as they observe Community Banking Month, spokesperson Leann Pettit said.
Food collected during the drive will be dispersed by Philabundance to its network of 500 agencies and programs throughout the Delaware Valley, including the Open Door Ministry in Royersford and others in Montgomery County.
Philabundance’s “high-priority need” items include macaroni and cheese, canned pasta, creamy peanut butter, jelly, canned green beans, canned corn, canned fruit, and hot and cold cereals.
Ambler Savings Bank this year marks its 140th year of business in Montgomery County, and has set a goal to collect 140 pounds of food across all four branches. Collection boxes are located in the lobbies of each branch through April.
