POTTSTOWN PA – Jazmin Reddick, a 2012 graduate of Pottsgrove High School, has been named to the list of Top 12 finalists in the second annual “Montgomery County Idol Music Competition” presented by Forge Recording and Digital First Media, the parent company of The (Pottstown PA) Mercury newspaper. She’s asking for public help in becoming the contest winner.
Reddick, 19, describes herself as a passionate singer. “It’s something I LOVE to do,” she said in her competition entry, and added “I’ve been singing since the 3rd grade and now I’m a sophomore in college. Singing is everything that I am. I do it because music moves me and it’s a part of me that is unique and different.”
A list of Top Three contestants will be selected from the 12 based on public voting for their performances in videos that can be seen online. Reddick is asking Pottsgrove community residents and others to cast supporting votes for her daily between 9 a.m. and noon through April 22 (2014; Tuesday) at the contest website, here. Voters must be registered, and get be enrolled online.
One of the Top 3, again selected by voters, will perform May 3 during the Norristown Arts Hill Festival.
