SANATOGA PA – Two out-of-state residents were charged Friday (April 18, 2014) with drug sales and related offenses by Lower Pottsgrove police after they were discovered to have been allegedly selling marijuana from a home at 1208 Randy Dr., Pottstown, Ofc. James McCue reported.
The location is just southwest of Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School.
Arrested were Orville Darby, 28, of Brooklyn NY, and Tiana Frierson, 25, of an unstated location in California, according to the officer.
Police responded at 3:36 p.m. to the address after a neighbor “called in suspicious activity.” They said they found more than a pound of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, more than $1,000 in cash, and a .380 semi-automatic handgun there. The presence of the handgun complicated matters for Darby, police indicated, because they reported he was a convicted felon who cannot be in possession of firearms.
Darby reportedly was taken to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Eagleville PA. There was no report of disposition for Frierson.
Police said they welcomed, and encouraged area residents to provide, suspicious activity reports.
