County Job Fair Connects Employers To Its Workforce

20140426-LookingForWork-GoogleImagesKING OF PRUSSIA PA – The seventh annual job fair hosted by the Montgomery County Workforce Investment Board, PA CareerLink Montgomery County and the MidAtlantic Employers’ Association is scheduled for Wednesday (April 30, 2014) from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, 301 W. DeKalb Pike.

A variety of employers from both the public and private sectors will seek to hire qualified people for immediate openings in a wide range of fields. The event is free and open to the public, according to the board. Before attending the fair, however, job-seekers must enroll and have their resumes posted online, here.

Participating employers will have the opportunity to talk with prospective candidates who have been prescreened to match open positions and hiring needs. Businesses looking for workers still have time to register, and if interested should send an e-mail to Melinda Onchitta, here.

Among confirmed employers are CSL Behring, Albert Einstein Medical Center, Cobham, Clinical Financial Services, University of the Sciences, Globus Medical Inc., Acme Corrugated Box Co., Inc., Securitas Security Services USA Inc., Univest Corporation of Pennsylvania, Citizens Bank, ECRI Institute, Almac Group LTD, First Quality Retail Services LLC, Gemalto Inc., AlliedBarton Security Services, Main Line Health, Charles River Laboratories Inc., Johnson Matthey Inc., Global Packaging Inc., USM Inc., Tri-County Transit Service Inc., Havis Inc., HCR Manorcare, Home Helpers, HP Hood LLC, Preferred Automotive Specialists Inc., Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services, Rittenhouse Book Distributions, and Telerx Inc.

The board is responsible for the workforce development activities within Montgomery County.
