County DA Honors Township Sergeant’s Calm Actions

RECEIVING THE THANKS OF AN APPRECIATIVE COUNTY – Lower Pottsgrove Police Sgt. Timothy Walters, right, received a commendation Wednesday (May 28, 2014) from Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman for what she described as his “calm application of proper police procedures” in apprehending a gun-wielding man during a February 2013 incident on East High Street in the township. Walters actions were recognized for preventing further injuries under potentially deadly circumstances. The sergeant was among several law enforcement officials honored by Ferman, second from right, during a ceremony in the county courthouse. She was joined for Walters’ presentation by township Police Chief Michael Foltz, left, and county Sheriff Russ Bono.
