Phoenixville Man Charged Following Blood Test Results

SANATOGA PA – A Phoenixville man was charged Sunday (June 8, 2014) by Lower Pottsgrove police with alleged drug possession and driving under the influence, after they received results of blood chemical tests taken during an incident 19 days ago.

Phoenixville Man Charged Following Blood Test ResultsChristopher Rudisill, 19, of the 200 block of Morgan Street in Phoenixville, has been charged with DUI, possession of marijuana, and related offenses following a May 21 investigation, township Ofc. Scott Weidenhammer reported.

On that early Wednesday morning, at about 1:13, Weidenhammer said police came upon a Mercury Sable that had been stopped in the right lane of westbound U.S. Route 422, just beyond the exit ramp for Armand Hammer Boulevard. Because the highway in that area is currently under construction, Weidenhammer noted, lanes there are very narrow.

Rudisill “stumbled out of his vehicle” during the course of the investigation, according to the police report, and Weidenhammer said he observed “several signs of impairment.” Marijuana and a marijuana grinder also were found in the vehicle, the report added. Rudisill was arrested after failing field sobriety tests.

A chemical test of Rudisill’s blood also was taken at the time, police said. The just-received results of the blood test, police alleged, “indicated that Rudisill had been operating his vehicle with multiple drugs in his system.”
