SANATOGA PA – A 90-year-old Lower Pottsgrove woman became a victim Monday afternoon (June 9, 2014) at her own home as an alleged burglar – who is still being sought by police – stole her money and successfully escaped, while leaving her with what was described as a “minor injury.”
At the time, about 12:43 p.m. township Det. Joseph Campbell said, Stella Dombroski of 1126 Kepler Rd. was outside, trying to mow her lawn before the day’s forecasted rain arrived. That’s when she saw and confronted the male burglar, leaving through her home’s rear door. The two “made contact,” Campbell reported, causing Dombroski’s injury.
The man is said to be “a light-skinned black or Hispanic” in his 20s, who was wearing black pants and an orange shirt. He was last seen speeding away from the location in a two-door silver- or gray-colored coupe with running lights.
He allegedly “took an undetermined amount of cash from the residence,” Campbell said.
Lower Pottsgrove’s police department is continuing its investigation of the incident. Campbell is asking anyone with information to call him at 610-323-2510.
