SANATOGA PA – An alert South Park Avenue neighbor allegedly saw two men on a nearby property who apparently looked like they didn’t belong there, and called 9-1-1 emergency dispatchers early Thursday afternoon (June 19, 2014), The (Pottstown PA) Mercury newspaper reported. That brought Lower Pottsgrove police, who offered confirmation: nope, they didn’t belong there.
The men, ages 29 and 36 respectively, have been arrested. One is a former Lower Pottsgrove resident; the other is from Bensalem, according to the story by reporter Caroline Sweeney.
Police suspect an attempted burglary, Sweeney wrote, but the charges against them were not specified. Investigators reportedly said they found smudge marks on windows at the property in the 200 block of South Park, and additional marks on one of its doors.
A police report on the incident was not available to The Post as of 6 a.m. Friday (June 20).
