15 Pottsgrove Students Win Western Center Awards

LIMERICK PA – Fifteen Pottsgrove High School students were recent winners of awards and prizes for their accomplishments during the 2013-2014 academic year while attending the Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center on Graterford Road, Pottsgrove school board treasurer Patricia Grimm reported last Tuesday (June 17, 2014).

Grimm also is vice-chair of the center’s Joint Operating Committee and one of three committee delegates representing Pottsgrove. She said Western Center awards were presented to:

  • Anthony Evans: Carpentry Achievement Award,
  • Jackie Hartman: Commercial Art Award,
  • Isiah Daniels, Individual Area Technical Award (ITAA) in Computer Information Science,
  • Brianna Sotera: ITAA in Cosmetology,
  • Kayla Wallace: Cosmetology Stylist Awards,
  • Justene Marshall: SkillsUSA Award in Cosmetology,
  • Jacob Hunsberger: Bally Block cutting board and chef knife, ITAA in Culinary Arts, and the Brian D. Etter Memorial Award,
  • Elizabeth Harley, Culinary Arts gift card from the Harleysville Hotel,
  • Jackie Rumler: ITAA in Culinary Arts
  • Dylan Wooten: Diesel Technology tools,
  • Ryan Campli: Diesel Technology check,
  • Jamie Kanach: Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Award, the center Teachers Association Award, the Director’s Award, the ITAA in Early Childhood studies, and a $250 scholarship,
  • Kristian Cortez: the Klein Tool Award for Electrical Occupations,
  • D’Neish Daye, the Health Occupations Student Association award for Health Science Technology, and
  • Brandon Tait: ITAA in Health Science Technology, and the Bon Homie Ltd. Adult Day Care award.
