SANATOGA PA – It’s been a busy spring so far for Alyson E. Elliott, former assistant manager of Lower Pottsgrove Township, and it looks as though there will be little let up during the summer.
Elliott’s job at the Buchert Road municipal building was eliminated during January (2014), when the newly seated Board of Commissioners consolidated the township manager and assistant manager roles into one.
Since then, Elliott has worked as interim executive director of Main Line School Night, an adult education program in Radnor PA founded in 1938. The school, according to its website, attracts thousands of students each term with offerings of more than 500 weekday, weeknight and weekend non-credit courses.
A permanent executive director has now been named, but Elliott said she is continuing with special projects at Main Line, assisting in the leadership transition and to address and implement some organizational improvements.
Elliott has more than 15 years of municipal, community development, and enterprise investment experience. She holds a master’s degree in urban planning from the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Elizabethtown College.
