ROYERSFORD PA – Royersford resident Carmen S. Italia Jr., who most recently served as a vice president of Plymouth Meeting-based Continental Bank, has been named manager of the Delaware Valley office of engineering firm Barry Isett & Associates Inc.
Italia will work from the company’s facility at 1003 Egypt Rd., Phoenixville, according to the firm’s press release.
Italia’s career has focused on economic development, finance and real estate. He is experienced in structuring corporate transactions, identifying and securing site and building locations, and financing and serving as a liaison between business and local government.
He is the former president of the Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation, a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the economic development of Montgomery County. During 21 years there, he developed a thorough understanding of public and private financing programs.
Italia also has developed excellent working relationships with the Pennsylvania Governor’s Action Team and the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority. He also is knowledgeable about Pennsylvania’s Infrastructure Development Program, the SBA 504 Loan Program, and USDA financing programs.

The company’s services include municipal engineering, code services, civil, structural, forensic, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, landscape design, construction inspection, survey services, environmental services, and construction services.
